On Friday 27 December 2024, in the evening, Milly, a maltipoo, managed to escape the house in Prestwich M25. She and her family had come to the UK from Germany to visit relatives and when she ran out of the house door, she bolted and was chased by people. This pushed her nearly 3 miles away from where she ran from and was then sighted in Crumpsall M8.
We were contacted on Saturday morning to help. We placed a live camera at the house where she ran from (although she had ended up nearly 3 miles away it was still a possibility that she could come back). Owners left the house door open 24/7. We printed posters and stayed in constant communication with owner all day.
Milly had been seen twice two days later at a house in the garden where the house holder feeds cats. She was seen eating the food. We advised owner to go and sit in their car next to this house with the engine running (dogs recognise their owners car engine sounds). After a short while, Milly showed herself and ran to her owner.

She had a wound on her nose and in between her eyes, with blood, so she was taken to the vets last night. They needed to stitch the wound and took X-rays as she had been hit by a car. Luckily the X-rays were fine and she is now back with owner sleeping off her adventures.
