Roo’roo’s Success Story October 2024

On Sunday 27th October 2024, at 8.30pm, Roo’roo, a 7 month old Maltipoo, got spooked by something and ran. This was in Brookdale Park, M40.

Owner contacted us asking for help the following day and there had been no sightings of her. Posters were put up and all advice given, especially that searching should stop as this was very dangerous for her.

That evening, someone sent a video, showing Roo’roo running around. They said she had been playing and chasing squirrels.

We thermal scoped the park and left a feed station and live camera strategically placed hoping for her to find the food. Owner had already been sitting in the park following our advice that day so we asked her to do the same that evening. Roo’roo didn’t show up.

On Tuesday, the following day, someone heard a dog crying. We coached owner what to do and she went there immediately. At first she didn’t hear anything but then she did! She couldn’t tell where the crying was coming from so she started to sing a song that she sings to her other dog. Roo’roo showed herself but kept running back and too until she knew without doubt that it was her owner and she came running to her .
