Max’s Success Story August 2024

πŸ’™ Welcome home Max πŸ’™
Max, a Boston Terrier, became lost when he escaped home on Friday 23 August. We were contacted by owners to help on Monday 26th August.
Owners had had the house door open since he went missing hoping he would make his way home but there had been no sightings since he first ran. They had been searching so the first thing we did was advise to stop searching as this could be stopping him from going home. Searching would also likely make him move from the area where he was (his safe place) which is why we don’t condone searching for lost dogs (unless absolutely necessary).

Posters were put up in the area but still no sightings. This however is normal as a lost dog can keep themselves hidden for several days or more. We knew he would show himself at some point so postering continued.
On the 27th August we asked owner to put some fresh recently worn unwashed clothing of his outside the door. It had been raining hard for the past few days so owners scent would not be very fresh. Max came home safe and sound early in the morning of 28th August πŸ’™. He had taken his owners t-shirt and eaten the cooked chicken πŸ’™.
